The original Burgess Bedding factory was based near the Hen Market in Shudehill. It was next door to the local ‘Rovers Return’ Inn – which sadly was demolished after the war. By the late 1920’s, the Burgess Bedding Company had already secured the business of many independent high street customers as well as multiple chain outlets. Burgess spent many years situated on Pollard Street, Manchester but when the Mill was sold for development, the business moved to its current home in the Lancashire Hills of Rossendale.
